Abstract:
The third part of the list of ultraviolet excess objects is comprised
of 1179 objects selected from a Palomar Schmidt three-color plate
centered on Kapteyn Selected Area 28. The population belonging to
color classes 1A, 1 and 1B should consist primarily of quasars and
dwarfs and should be statistically complete to at least B = 18.5 mag.

Note (1): Color classes are defined in Usher (1981) as:
1A : (U-V)<0, above the blackbody line by D(U-B) ~ 0.15mag,
mainly populated by quasars
1 : (U-V)<0, within +/- 0.15mag in D(U-B) of blackbody line
1B : (U-V)<0, below the blackbody line by D(U-B) ~ 0.15mag,
in the general vicinity of the white dwarf cooling curve
1BS: close to luminosity class III-V line for blue halo stars
1C : (U-V)>=0, above blackbody line, where N and lineless spectrum
galaxies are often located
2 : (U-V)>=0, below blackbody line
3 : within the region of subdwarfs and halo HB stars.
Note (2): values of 60 have been transformed
