table6 76 92 Relative line ratios and oxygen abundances
for 92 KUGs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Byte-by-byte Description of file: table6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bytes Format Units Label Explanations
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1- 10 A10 --- KUG Galaxy KUG number (in Kiso Catalog)
13- 17 F5.2 --- [OII] log ([OII]/Hbeta)
21- 25 F5.2 --- [OIII] []? log ([OIII]/Hbeta)
29- 33 F5.2 --- [OI] []? log ([OI]/Hbeta)
37- 41 F5.2 --- [NII] []? log ([NII]/Hbeta)
45- 49 F5.2 --- [SII] []? log ([SII]/Hbeta)
54- 58 F5.2 --- E(B-V) E(B-V) from Balmer decrement
64- 68 I5 K Te []? Electron temperature of the HII zone
73- 76 F4.2 --- 12+log(O/H) []? 12 + log([O/H]) (oxygen abundance)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:
For two galaxies, there is no value of Te, nor of [O/H] : these two
objects are Seyfert 2 nuclei and therefore the procedure of oxygen
abundance determination is not applicable to them.
