Description:
    The MAISON system enables a user to superpose astronomical images served by
    separate servers on the network. Its capability of superposing survey 
    observation images is duplicated by that of SkyView at NASA/GSFC.
    A distinctive feature of MAISON is its capability to serve high-quality
    images of target-pointing observations and to compare them with survey
    observation images. The only source of target-pointing observations 
    currently supported by MAISON is that of the X-ray satellite ASCA, but HST
    and ROSAT will be available in due course. Main sources of target-pointing
    observations to include in MAISON will be SUBARU, Astro-E, and Astro-F 
    (IRIS). As of November 1999, MAISON is serving for the following
    astronomical image servers.
