ADC_Keywords: Attitude determination

Description:
    The star catalog for space vehicle altitude determination (SCADS)
    contains a data base of 43,099 stars with positional, spectral and
    magnitude information. It is an extracted subset of SKYMAP. Selection
    of these stars was based upon apparent visual magnitude (less than
    about 7.3 mag.) and spectral class considerations. Because of problems
    in the SKYMAP subset, all SKYMAP positions and proper motions were
    replaced by AGK3 and SAO positions and proper motions (plus their
    respective errors). Moreover, the catalog record includes the
    following catalog numbers: BOSS, HD, SKYMAP, SAO, COMPOSITE DM, and
    ADS, and instrumental magnitude, an effective temperature, position
    and proper motion, spectral and luminosity classes, trigonometric
    parallax, a code for the position source catalog and a binary flag.
