Description:
   This catalog is a compilation of transit tables for star numbering in 50 
   open clusters.  It represents an updated and enlarged version of lists of 
   transit tables prepared by the CDS earlier in the 1970's (Mermilliod 1972, 
   1973b).  It adds numbering systems published after 1973 to the earlier work.
   This catalog is intended to facilitate the study of open clusters by 
   providing cross-identifications and by giving a census of the stars numbered
   and studied in the field of a cluster.  At the time of preparation, the 
   author developed the tables to include all existing numbering systems for 
   each cluster.  All cross-identifications found in the literature were 
   included.  Most identifications were done by the author by comparing 
   published finding charts or x,y coordinates.  The author warns that some of
   the identifications are ambiguous, but does not indicate which are 
   considered to be ambiguous. 

   The catalog is organized into separate tables for each of the 50 clusters.  
   Each contains the cluster identification, bibliographic references, and the 
   transit table.  Thus while the record length remains at 80 bytes throughout,
   the record structure changes within each file as follows:  

   Record 1:       cluster identification
   Records 2-15:   bibliographic references
   Records 16-end: transit table

   The columns of the table are defined by the bibliographic reference list.
   The first column contains the star identification number from the table.  
   The remaining columns contain the corresponding numbers from each reference
   in the order listed in records 2-15.
