Abstract:
   In this investigation, a technique developed by Spinrad and Taylor for 
   obtaining metal abundances of late-type stars, and used by them in an  
   earlier investigation of evolved stars, is applied to field dwarfs in  
   the solar vicinity and to the Hyades. One star appears on three records.
