New and Updated Software

11 February 2000 -- fv2.6.1

The latest stand-alone version of HEASARC's interactive FITS file viewer for UNIX platforms. FV has a graphical user interface written using Incr Tcl/Tk (version 3.1). This software tool is suitable for viewing and editing any FITS format image or table fv currently runs on many UNIX systems, including SUN O/S, SUN Solaris, Dec OSF, and both Mac and PC Linux. Windows users should download fv for Windows (2.6.1) to run under Windows NT/95/98. MacOS users should instead download fv 2.6.1 for MacOS .
